Fan

Kingston Big - Great Britain - 1920

DESCRIPTION

Based in Portslade, Great Britain, Kingston Engeneering Co. was a long-established fan manufacturer which halted its production quite a while ago. Kingston started manufacturing direct-current fans but in the 1920’s switched to the production of an alternating-current model, available in two blade diameters: 120 cm and 160 cm. Because of a limited and geographically circumscribed production, these fans are nowadays very rare and difficult to come by in good conditions. The Fantique collection consists of only one model with 160 cm blade diameter: its large size and weight notwithstanding, the Kingston Big fan stands out for its stylistic grace and balanced proportions.
