Kassel 48" - India - 1930
DESCRIPTION
Kassel ceiling fans, as well as Tropical fans, came from old Indian medium size manufacturers, whose production was concentrated in a short time period. Such factories were frequently born to satisfy the demand of fans on the part of local governments, and once that attained, they often disappeared.
In spite of this, the product quality is amazing. Kassels are indeed unpretentious, high quality, powerful fans. As they are virtually indestructible, they were mainly used in public places such as railway stations and schools, but also for outdoor purposes, under public arcades and hotel patios. Our Fantique collection includes several fans with a 48″ or 56″ blade diameter.
